THE WORKERS' COMPENSATION (COMPULSORY INSURANCE) ORDER

 

(Section 25)

G.N. No. 245 of 1965

 

1.   Citation

   This Order may be cited as the Workers' Compensation (Compulsory Insurance) Order.

 

2.   Application

   This Order shall apply to every employer other than–

 

   (a)   the Government, statutory boards or Corporations established by Government;

 

   (b)   a city, municipal, town or district council;

 

   (c)   limited liability companies with a paid up share capital of not less than shillings five hundred thousand which have been guaranteed by a local bank against default in meeting their obligations in respect of workers' compensation claims to an annual amount approved by the Labour Commissioner;

 

   (d)   international agencies.
