1. This Order may be cited as the Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation and Rural Technology (Determination of the Businesses and Functions of the Existing Projects) Order.
2. In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires–
"Act" means the Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation and Rural Technology Act *;
"effective date" means the 13th March, 1982.
3. As from the effective date the following businesses currently being undertaken by the Arusha Appropriate Technology Project shall be taken over and continued by the Centre–
village extension training, communication material development and research projects which include wind mills, various cooking stoves, water pumps, soil/cement blocks, ox-carts and solar water heaters.
4. From the effective date the following businesses currently being undertaken by the Tanzania agricultural Machinery Testing Unit shall be taken over and continued by the Centre–
designing (sorghum thresher, multi-row planter), testing (sprayers, plough shares, tractors and other machinery and implements), production of ox-cart axles, ox-carts, planters harrow, double-harrow ploughs and the rural craft workshop at Nzega.
5. The provisions of subsection (3) of section 5 of the Act shall apply in relation to the assets and liabilities of the business taken over by the Centre and in relation to the employees managing the business of the existing projects. {/mprestriction}
